My mother’s dog is nuts!

My mother’ little toy poodle, Ebony, is certifiably nuts. She bought it to replace little Tiffy, and not wanting another puppy bought a four year-old poodle. Pedigree notwithstanding, the dog has some baggage. Yet, while others might be dismayed, the dog’s neurosis fits my mother perfectly. Let me explain.
The dog, having been raised in a kennel runs in tight circles when excited, and that’ most of the time. The other behavior that may be due to its lack of upbringing is pooping on the rug, not runny poops, mind you, but neat easy to pickup poops. Ebony does pee outside, however. My mother, now 98, enjoys her advanced age because of her alertness of mind, and Ebony does all she can to insure that Mom’s mind stays on its toes.
As Ebony may run circles around Mom’s feet, especially when company comes, Mom has to be very conscious of where she is and the dog is. If the dog had a strong string attached it would wrap you up in a minute. And the pooping also keeps her awake and aware, because you never know where the next poop is, and her rugs are brown, you see.
But when the dog isn’t running in circles or pooping its in Mom’s lap, just where she wants it. Our best relationships are when both negatives and positives fit together in one mate.
